So you think you know your own age when i ask how old you are. but you are probably wrong. ;)

If you for example was born in 1977 and since it is 2017 now, you will probably say that you are 40 years old now.

But i have good news for you, specially for ladies that like to say they are younger, you are much much younger.. :)

It will all be explained in this short but quiet interesting video:

I would like to add a little extra information here too.
Because many people will probably wonder, why do we then look so different (older / wrinkly) when we get old?

The best way to explain that, will probably be to compare our cells with a letter you want to copy.
Because for each time we renew / regenerate our cells, the cells get less and less perfect compare to the original cells they copy.

Imagine that you make a copy of a letter, and then you make a copy of the copy, and then another copy of that copy and so on.
For each time you make a new copy of a copy, the new copy will have slightly lower quality then the copy before that, and in the end you would no longer be able to read the last copy.

The same happen to our cells, and in the end they are so twisted from the original that they no longer work as they should. ;)

(As the nerd i am i have to correct Fry on one thing he say here.

He say that all the atoms in our body are replaced.
But that is not the case, it is the molecules that are replaced.
The atoms only replace other atoms it is connected to.
A carbon atom for example will always be a carbon atom.

And that is why ALL the atoms in your body once came from a star or a Super Nova in the universe. )
(That bit you can read more about in my post about The Origin of The Universe) ;)
