Our Nails and Hair

Our Nails and Hair share something in common. Both grows from the same kinds of cells that form our skin. The part of the nail is made of dead cells. That's why we cannot feel pain in the nail if our nail get injured or break it. Nails protected the soft tissue under them.

The cells at the root of our nail are living cells. And they are always divided, that's why our nails growing. If we get injured our nail at the root , we feel pain. And the skin above under the nail may turn into a dark color.

The hair is also made of dead cells. And each hair are growing out if the hair follicle. A hair follicle is a tube in which our hair grows. The follicle is begins in the dermis part and leads up to the skin surface. And each follicle it has a hair root. Where the special cells in the root cause our hair growing. When the hair reaches to the epidermis, it doesn't get any food or oxygen so it cause to dies of the hair. Hairs may stay in the follicles for almost or upto six years. Then our hairs started to fulling out or fulling down. We may noticed some of our hairs that's come out when we're brushing our hair. But after a few months, the roots of our hair will making a new hair.

Many of the people loses their hair, because we are getting in to older stages. This will happen because changes takes place inside our body as we growing. And this changes cause the cells in the follicles to stop processing hair. Becoming older doesn't mean we are unhealthy. It just means our body is on process of changing.
