Tuckahoe State Park stargazing trip - post 4: Sunset photos
The purpose of the trip was stargazing, but the brightest star in our sky is still the Sun. We managed to get some nice sunset photos during our drive to Tuckahoe State Park.
As noted earlier in this series, four steemizens took a stargazing trip to Tuckahoe State Park, in Maryland, on January 5. The four travelers were @astronomyizfun, @cmac, @cmp2020, and @remlaps. It was raining when we hit the road, and the sky was filled with clouds, so we were nervous about the weather, but the weather.com web site assured us that the rain would stop and skies would clear and that we were in for a night of clear skies. They turned out to be exactly right.
As we traveled, the rain stopped and the skies started to clear up, so we were treated to some beautiful views of the sunset while we drove.
This post contains a sampling of the sunset photos that we captured.
This photo was taken by @cmp2020 while were driving somewhere near the University of Delaware.
And @cmp2020 also took this one as we were crossing a bridge near the border between Delaware and Maryland.
Finally, we found a safe spot to pull over and took a few more photos.
