Choosing to eat a non-gmo diet is crucial for optimum health and well-being. If you aren't already aware of what GMOs are, GMO stands for genetically modified organism. GMOs are foods that have been grown with the DNA and genes of a species such as fish, pork, etc... These foods are contaminated with pesticides and herbicides and have been scientifically proven to cause a host of health problems, including tumor growth, increase in allergies, leaky gut syndrome, and rapid aging, miscarriages, reproductive disorders, and more. I strongly suggest that you look into the dangers of GMOs and how it affects our health in more ways than dozens.
One of the best ways to avoid eating non-gmo foods is to buy USDA certified organic and look for the 'Non-GMO Project Verified' seal. This will ensure that the foods you're purchasing are not made with genetically modified organisms.
Jeffrey Smith is a big non-GMO consumer activist who speaks out about the serious health threats genetically modified organisms causes to our health. Smith is the author of two books on genetically engineered foods, Seeds of Deception: Exposing Industry and Government Lies about the Safety of the Genetically Engineered Foods You're Eating, and Genetic Roulette: The Gamble of Our Lives, which was turned into an educational documentary in 2012. Watch the roulette trailer here.
