So, whats the big deal with Quantum Physics

Scientific knowledge is important for anyone who wants to live a reasonable life, from improving your school test results ,fixing a broken wind shield to building a satellite. This usefulness may even extend to spirituality and to the society as a whole when it is properly embraced.

I will not go into a long lecture about about mathematical formulas, nor will i be dropping long words that may seem unpronounceable. Instead, I will get straight into the gist of the the most important lesson I took from studying this field.

It turns out that the physical world that we can see, hear, taste, touch and smell is only a small sliver of the all that there is in the world. For example, the light that we see is only a small percentage of electromagnetic spectrum that exist so although we may not yet be able to perceive infra-red light we now know that it exists. This would be very easy to see and manipulate if humans had the sensory organs to perceive such. We run into this huge problem when we realize that our bodies are limited. Not only by the lack of experience but also by the limitations of human sensory organs. As a result of this, science has traditionally focused on observable phenomena. This limits human knowledge to what can be perceived and anything that falls outside of this was relegated to acts of God or some other belief.

What quantum physics has revealed is that as an observer you are contributing to, and affecting whatever it is that is being object. That is, the object may change its behavior depending on who is looking at it. The implication of this is huge. This means experiments may give differing results depending on who is performing it. If you are familiar with Dr Emoto's experiments which dealt with the effects of words on water crystal, this might be easier to digest. If you cannot realize that you are affecting what you observe, then we will forever relegate all human problems to something that is outside of us.

The great realization is that we project ourselves onto what is observed. So calling someone you never met an enemy may induce that person to be defensive and they may become an enemy. This is not a comprehensive look so I would appreciate any comments that might add to it. I hope that this will help you understand the world a bit more and contribute positively in your life.
