Sir Rutherford was a Britist-new Zealand chemist.He performed a series of experiments using a particles .He wons 1908 noble prize in chemistry.In 1911,he proposed the nuclear model of the atom and performed the first experiment to split atom.Because of his great contributions,he is considered the father of nuclear science
