No extinction if asteroid had hit nearly any other part of Earth

in #science6 years ago

When we think of explanations why things happen to us or major events, or in this case a mass extinction, one can be more conscious knowing everything happens for a reason.

New research is now suggesting that the massive asteroid that slammed into Earth and wiped out the dinosaurs would of not caused the mass extinction had it hit any other part of the planet.

Scientists are now claiming that over 87% of the earth surface could of been struct without the mass event happening.

Our earth has a total of 5 major mass extinction events. When our next mass extinction happens we advance our planet, better or worse, in a new state.

Unfortunately for dinosaurs the enormous space rock hit the Mexico's Yucatan peninsula, where the concentration of hydrocarbons in the rocks was so large that the soot and sulphate aerosols bursting into the sky caused global cooling and drought.

Without the demise of the dinosaurs our human race as mammals would of most likely not flourished in the current time we exist today. It is good to appreciate this in several ways when you look at any other event or aspect in your life.

Your information is correct. But I think there will be extinction before any asteroid reaches Earth, because the human will destroy life on Earth if he continues destroying nature in this hideous way that we are watching now.

That's remarkable. I guess it was the perfect storm in the form of a large rock.

An interesting post, but the steemurl link you provide doesn't work. Can you update it?
