Your very first line suggests this is not a topic you have spent much time with. I have seen no proof that we live on a spherical planet. Neither have you, but you seem to think you have. If it is not you in the driver seat of a Tesla orbiting a blue marble, then accepting that story as a real world physical occurrence requires a leap of faith. Some of us don't like to make those leaps.
