The electric universe: Why should I care?
Continuing on our path of discovery, this is a further introduction to the electric universe. A paradigm with the potential to change the way you look at reality and the world around you.
Have all the questions been answered by science? Is there really nothing new for us to explore? One could certainly get this impression from some of today's scientists. The answer, although, is clear: no! We are, in fact, only at the beginning of our discovery. New knowledge, new science awaits us that will only be there for people to grasp with an open and rational mind.
Many people today are asking, what has happened to science? Early in the space age the president inspired the nation to put a man on the moon within a single decade. But where is that sense of new frontiers today? The passion for discovery?
For youngsters it seems that science has lost its meaning. Meaning comes form the things that we value. And what is the value of discovery? How could we lose interest in that?
We have invited this interest in science by our claims to already know the important questions and their answers. Just look at the picture given in the scientific media. All the great mysteries have already been solved: How the universe began. How gravity drove everything across billions of years, the birth and death of stars, our sun emerging from the gaseous clouds, planets on predictable courses for billions of years. And a thousand other settled questions or so we are told.
Well here is a surprise: our universe is electric. It is animated by charged particles in motion. The electrically sterile cosmos we so long imagines does not exist.
The electric universe will reinspire education and science. Electricity will open new pathways of discovery, a new picture of galaxies and all the stars in the sky, our sun included.
Every organism will come alive electrically. And we will begin to remember the electrical dramas in the skies above our early forebears. Take the time to discover this for yourself. The profound scientific revolution is already underway.
