I’ve read a few books about Isaac Newton. What has impressed me most is his unique and insightful view of God.
Many modern people see his religiosity in a negative light, and tend to be dismissive of it. Paradoxically he was actually quite heretical in his religious views. He was very strongly against the Trinity, for he thought that Jesus was subordinate and not equal to God.
It seems like in his own time a well as modern times we fail to see the eloquent view of Newton’s image of God.
