Airbus spacecraft to recover Mars soil

in #science6 years ago

Science and technology are progressing...

Humans have been sending artificial satellites and probes to Mars since the 1960s. However, there are many failures due to damage at the time of landing, communication errors, etc. It seems that the NASA and European Space Agency (ESA ) have cooperated and are trying to bring soil from Mars.

According to Wikipedia, European Space Agency contracted with Airbus to have them make a spacecraft for retrieving soil samples. That's it for a six-wheeled vehicle. It is Fetch rover with arm and camera.

Airbus is making a spacecraft ExoMars that will be sent to Mars in 2021. It is a sophisticated probe that performs a number of investigations, but fetch and the rover is made mainly for sample collection mainly. The weight is about 130 kg, but a tough mission awaits the long-distance movement of the road decided by himself on the surface of the hot surface for many days. If it succeeds it is the world's first attempt.

This fetch/rover collects this mission, a spacecraft Mars 2020 to arrive earlier will drill a hole in the ground of Mars and leave over 30 tubes.

Look forward to the success of the mission.
