Planet's Larger Than Our Sun

in #science7 years ago (edited)

Are there planets actually larger than our Sun?

VY Canis Majoris is known to be the largest star. It is 9.3 billion times larger than our sun and 729 trillion times larger than our earth. It is 988.3 million km in size. Can you imagine rocket traveling at the speed of light? It would take it 8 hours to circle it one time. It would even take an airplane flying at 900 km/hr, 1100 years just to circle it one time. It is 4,982 light years away from our earth so it would literally take this long just to reach it.

Please watch the video to see more a size comparison of each of the known planets.

Oh my gosh duuuude! The gravity on it would be super powerful right?

You can't even imagine how much gravity. It's so hot and dangerous that everything will melt even at 1 foot near it.

Very good researcher. I have learned something.

I'm glad you learned something new. I once found there is a planet with unknown creatures not found on earth. I might make a blog for this in the future.
