Heavewaves: Fake news?

in #science6 years ago

I'm hoping developed nations continue to suffer a while, just to really hammer it home.

Conspiracy nuts largely in the US will say the 1930's were hotter or whatever (debunked)

But Don't be surprised when family members dying from heatstroke becomes routine =)

As for the rest of the developed world, check it out:

Etc, etc

Gees😱! Is this for real! I am an avid news follower but haven't come across something like this lately. But if this is for real, I guess everyone should start writing his will..

Im genuinely scared of the future in this regard. It's frustrating because you have to rely on everyone! to help make a change, and whilst you still have morons claiming it's fake news, it's scary to wonder what it will take to get everyone doing their bit, or will all our technology and world as we know it start to fry long before then leaving us hot and helpless... it's strange to think i could very well be alive to see green things stay yellow :( Well crusty grass this end.

I don't think we have to really rely on everyone to change but we do need to rely on them all to enact change among the higher powers. We have little influence without regulation that can only happen in governance. Factories are out of our hands, shipping and all the other major contributors. People have to drive, but are not given the option of clean energy and so on and so on.

We all have to take part in pressuring the leaders

Cheers to that! Good job people have more power over these things than ever before, a few more hot years like this should do the trick. Just hope we're fashionably late in the end, but not too late.

If they could alter the weather in the 1920's I have no doubt they are very good at it today. Look up "DEW directed energy weapons patents" re: the fires and read "Weather as a Force Multiplier: Owning the Weather in 2025" <<< US Air Force. Everything we see today is pretty much going to plan. If you see it on the news, it is probably fake.

So these record heatwaves aren't happening, and myself and my family living in these locations are lying to me, too?

I did not say they are not happening. I just do not believe any of these extreme events are happening naturally. For one example, the fires in NoCal, Portugal and Greece are all burning and exploding hosed and cars while leaving trees and grass untouched. If you look up DEW, this is a signature of that.

This is quite an extreme conspiracy if I understand you right. The US is going around the globe blowing things up and deliberately making the entire earth burn up?

DEW is their program and they are not shy about explaining how they use it. There are all kinds of govt pdfs about it if you care to look.

I'm sure you are already aware of how taxpayers are funding these programs to an extreme amount:

military spending 3 - Copy.PNG

This graph used to be updated annually but it cannot be found at all now.

You might want to look up the UN report about agenda 2030 and their goals for depopulation. DEW is just one of the programs they are using for that.

And since when does fire melt cars?

Look up "DEW directed energy weapons patents"

You might want to look up the UN report about agenda 2030 and their goals for depopulation

The proper way to argue a point is to provide the information, and then provide the source, not putting the burden of proof on me.

Thankfully I already know the UN report you're talking about, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with it. I just checked and some conspiracy crazy site says they plan to kill off 95% of the population but there's nowhere else on the internet that actually says anything like that. If you can find that in any of the UN reports, feel free to show me.

I suggest you just pay attention to what scientists have been telling us for decades now. We can't just ignore the messenger for decades and then create some evil government situation to push the blame elsewhere when it get's out of control. Should have paid attention long ago.

We use too much CO2, too many cars, too many factories, too much plastic, too much water, crops and s on. It's our fault as a civilisation.

Simple.

Some people on You Tube are looking at anecdotal evidence to see if we really have the population that is claimed by the powers that be. They were finding that answer to be - no. You can find this info with titles like "overpopulation myth."

One video I remember looked at Jakarta, Indonesia to see if it really holds the 10M people claimed. The person kind of eyeballs it and says, "if there are X number of people in this area, and then you multiply it out by the area of the whole city, there is no way that huge number of people really live here."

That is the sum total of my "knowledge" on this topic. But I have no doubt that we are being depopulated by many means. So hopefully the planet can heal when we disappear.

I mostly deal with people who are morbidly obese and think they cannot change. The lies that keep us fat are many. In CDC Stats from a few years ago, 800,000 Americans die each year with obesity listed as a cause of death. In the same year 14,000 people died from all manner of gun violence. Which one of these topics is the one your hear about? It's fear porn for the guns, silent death for the poisoned fat people.

I work in alt health and see plummeting birth rates and sky-rocketing early death rates. If you really read the un report, you will notice they expect so few native born people in the western hemisphere by 2040, that is an emergency already. Hence, why they are bringing in massive amounts of people from the third world as a policy. you might want to read this report more closely to see if it is really so enjoyable.

In my field:
LGBT people do not procreate
Autistic and other mentally damaged people do not procreate
Obese people do not procreate
People with chronic diseases do not procreate
and on and on

Don't look at "conspiracy crazy sites." Look at the source documentation for better results with your research.

Scientists are all funded by the same people who control big media, big agro, big pharma, and all the rest. No one with an opposing view can get funded, so therefore you are not getting a true picture of any topic.

The pdf's on the un site are very easy to find and easy to read. I am sure I do not need to summarize them for you. Same with the DEW info and all the rest. It is not being hidden from you, but you can choose not to look. Most people do not even know they are available, so you have a leg up.

"We use too much CO2, too many cars, too many factories, too much plastic, too much water, crops and s on. It's our fault as a civilisation." Right now, they have you exactly where they want you, but you can easily change this. Remember that anything the tv is screaming at you bound to be a lie. It's a good judge of when it is time to look in another direction.

Just my two pence with because l can. Lgbt dont procreate? They do here. Maybe not as often as those not shoved into that box. Obese dont procreate? Walk around any town or city here a see the hundreds of overweight mothers with 2, 3, 4 kids. Take a look ast the slim successful straight ambitious money driven women and you'll see far fewer children born, certainly before the age of 30. You cannot pick the bit you like to make a point and miss out the rest so obviously. Your information is probably borne out of your own experience which is ok but a valid argument should include those 'facts that don't fit' too.

Just saying. ...

Even if you were not convinced by the overwhelming evidence of climate change, if there was just a chance that it may be happening, and given that this is the only planet our children's children will live on, don't you owe to do whatever you can to prevent the possibility of a ruined planet from happening?

This is what bogs me about climate change sceptics, you shouldn't even need the perfect evidence that it is happening (it is).

You should be scared to death that it just might and think about future generations instead of yourself.

Shame on all of those who cannot think that way.

The US pull out from the Paris agreement is a disgrace and an act that will be remembered shamefully by many.

In the meantime we are losing time and money with these endless debates about wether or not human induced climate change is a reality.

I don't want to take the chance.

We need worldwide action.
Now.

My theory: It's microwaves!

I think this is all the evidence I need

See? Once you let go of the need for "evidence", our world is so easily explained!

This is pathetic. I am beginning to get scared. Are you sure humanity as it stands now will survive this century? God help us!

I never said I was sure! But yeah probably, even if it's just a few hundred. Like rats, you can't get rid of every single one so easily. Gonna need a professional

Fake news indeed. Donald Trump will blame everything except climate change

He'll even blame YOU

Well, we blame the high pressure and, of course, nature (even though we are destroying every bit of it that comes our way) for making our days hotter :)

No, it's all the exercise we're doing giving off the heat. Stop exercising.

Em...if it'd help save the planet here's my running shoes :)

I spent a holiday in Chamonix (French Alps) two weeks ago.
We took the little train up the mountain to see the "Mer de Glace" glacier.

Here is what it looked like a hundred years ago:

And here is how it looks now from the same location:

Anybody denying climate change due to industrialization is a fool...

Wow. I've seen the receding pictures before but this one is pretty eye-opening, and your own personal experience! Crazy. A whole ecosystem dying, alongside coral reefs

Yes, it's really sad. What planet are we leaving to our children?

I'm a bot. I detect haiku.

Unfortunately, it is getting scary already and still some governments deny that humanity has something to do with it. China, the US, and Australia are some examples of politics towards global warming not against it :(

However, there are some good examples but still, the transition to an eco-friendly industry is too slow.

China is actually one of the greatest contributors to renewable energy, investing multiple times more than the US is, for example, and spending billions of dollars making something like 30% of its entire land mass forested.

They still piss around with coal etc, of course, but they're a lot more savvy to it than the current US leadership...Either way, too slow indeed!

This is some great news. I wasn't aware of that. Actually, when I wrote my comment I hoped that you will say that I am wrong (or partly wrong). Even a small step could make a huge difference when China is concerned. After all, it is one of the biggest (or the biggest?) manufacturers on Earth and even the tiniest precaution could make an impact on slowing down the process of global warming.

China traditionally under-promises and then over-performs - It makes them look good. So yeah they're doing a lot of good in this area but still not enough, only some smaller countries like Costa Rica are killin' it. But this heatwave around the world may change attitudes, we can hope!

What is the source of your first image (1934 versus 2016)?
