Congratulations Mr. Musk

in #science6 years ago

Dear readers.

Yesterday was no ordinary day for us earthlings. SpaceX successfully launched it’s Falcon Heavy rocket, (the worlds most powerful rocket) for the first time. This big boy has a capacity to lift more than twice the payload of the next closest operational rocket, at one third the cost. On it’s maiden flight it carried Elon Musks personal Tesla Roadster. Arguably the coolest payload in the history of space flight.

For decades the space industry has been dominated by government agencies, such as NASA and ESA. In recent years, however, we’ve seen the birth of privately owned spaceflight companies. In the coming decades, the industry will provide services such as space tourism. It’s truly an awesome time to be alive. :)

Mr. Musk, keep it up.
