The Greatest Invention of Humanity Is The "Written Word."

Minnows, dolphins, whales.... lend me your ears! It has come up in debates before and I'm sure it will again in the future. The question.... What is humanites greatest invention?

Now I'm sure everyone has a favorite and most people's gut reaction when hearing that question is to shout out, "the wheel!" and they would have a strong argument. Heck some might argue that bitcoin might be the greatest invention. (It's moving up the greatest invention chart.) In my mind though the "wriiten word" is humanities greatest invention. Feel free to comment below on what you think humanities greatest invention is.
