NOVA - Microwave and high intensity sound based transmutation reactor under construction

The first NOVA reactor, designed by Gyorgy (George) Egely, a Hungarian nuclear scientist, will be with us for testing in September we are told. Thanks to donations from the crowd, around $2000 has been allocated for building the device for the project and around $1500 for doing a live test, where independent parties conduct SEM/EDX analysis of both 'fuel' and ash, during a continuous live broadcast. WARNING: Microwaves can be extremely dangerous and can cause blindness. This device is precisely machined to prevent this.

Why 'NOVA Basic' ?

We need to be sure that this process works and to avoid any potential causes for failure, Dr. Egely's team, who built his previous reactors, are being employed to build our reactor. There is also a quartz glass blowing expert that will make the acoustical resonators into which the samples to be transmuted will sit.

The basic NOVA reactor, only uses half cycle Magnetron microwave output, just like your domestic microwave oven, in fact - it is our of a domestic oven. This is fixed frequency and so it cannot adjust for the the state of the gasses and plasma in the reaction chamber as it progresses. It also only allows for reaction is air at atmospheric pressure. However, we are assured that this device will demonstrate the transmutation effect, the most basic of which is Carbon in air to Iron - if it does this it will be a watershed moment for low energy nuclear reaction science.

Super NOVA

If we can believably demonstrate transmutation in a few minutes live, with independent parties doing the testing, then it will be worth it, to progress to seeking support for the more advanced 'NOVA Super'. This souped up version allows for variable frequency and the ability to control gasses used and their pressure, both above and below atmospheric. It was this kind of reactor that is claimed to be more capable to synthesise other elements.
