Warning of a genius
While I was studying in college, a classmate approached me, I could see that he was sad and frustrated and I could not keep the intrigue and asked him what had happened to him. He replied that he had lost his job because according to his supervisors he was no longer fit for work and would be supplanted by a machine.
This conversation led me to think that due to the growth of technology and robotics we have today, how fast can a robot replace labor?
For a long time with the creation of new machines began the industrial revolution that helped many countries economically. An act that was not taken into account that in the future these machines replaced the workforce.
The well-known billionaire tycoon Bill Gates, owner and founder of Microsoft, which is one of the most important companies and known worldwide.
He gave a little warning to the government during an interview that "governments must charge a tax on robots and that in approximately 20 years more there will be a significant increase in which machines can almost completely replace us in our field of work" ,
So he believes that it would be necessary to have policies that manifest themselves before this reality.
In fact, it believes that there will be taxes related to the application of machines in the new industries due to the growth of industrial robots that at the moment are replacing to the work force.
It indicates that the tax charged to the robots allowed to invest in the practice of works that would be suitable only for humans and that a part of the tax should be of help to people with low wages.
Although in all countries of the world there are new industries that continue to acquire machines, which in turn leads to the substitution of labor, I consider that the industries that acquire such machines pay a certain type of taxes and that the Collected Go directly to the people who were replaced so that they can be trained in other jobs, to people with low resources, to health that is currently scarce or that in some countries tends to be very expensive and mainly to the education of young people who Are really the future of a better world.
I agree with Gates that the government is the one that must be attentive to this situation, would not be to teach other people another type of work in which we can only work humans so we do not feel so frustrated by the progress of The technology that becomes more and more present in our daily life.
It would be nice to know what people who support automation in which many others have been harmed as in the case of my classmate.
I hope you have liked them and if you have any opinion you can comment with pleasure, thank you.
