When talking about artificial satellites, one thinks of communications, GPS, Internet access or satellites that study the environment, for example, what never occurs to us, at least to me, is to think of a factory orbiting the Earth while manufacturing their products, but for a few days this factory is already a reality.

On June 12, one of the Falcon 9 rockets owned by Space X, as you know founded by Elon Musk, has deployed 72 new artificial satellites from various companies and among all of them was the first space factory in history, owned by the California based startup Varda Space Industries.

And you will ask yourselves, a factory of what? Well, there are some manufacturing processes such as microprocessors or some drugs that work much better in zero gravity, although this can already be done on the international space station (ISS), we must take into account that it cannot be used for commercial purposes.

A few years ago, the pharmaceutical company Merk carried out experiments on the ISS for a cancer treatment that demonstrated the benefits of manufacturing it in a state of weightlessness but, as I have said, the ISS is not for commercial purposes and special flights only reach weightlessness during just over a minute, while the process carried out on the ISS took 18 minutes.

In addition to this, the startup has a contract with the US Air Force to test the hardware of hypersonic missiles, which provides extra money to finance the manufacture of medicines for the next six or seven years, according to Varda Space Industries and improve the system to get back to Earth.

Because not everything is reduced to manufacturing drugs in space, then they have to be brought to Earth to be able to administer them to patients who require it. In any case, there is no doubt that it is a good idea that can also be extended because there is plenty of space for everyone, never better said.

Hi @mauromar.

Congratulations on your blog, you are really passionate about everything to do with technology.

Pity to see, though, that your posts don't get enough visibility on Steemit.

Unfortunately, on such a big blogging platform, users risk not getting the results they deserve.

I know that you have a very specific editorial line, but a great way to get more visibility and make yourself known on the platform, is definitely to participate in some contests on the platform.

This way you can get in touch with many users and sponsor your blog and then you receive curation for participating in the contest.

If you want, you can have a look at: Contest Alerts: Active Contest List where many active contests on Steemit are listed, maybe there is one for you.

I hope I've been a little helpful and good luck with your blog.. ;D

I'll check it, thank you.
