As stated in the article that I bring you today, an engineer creates an AI and it designs a new product, the engineer tries to register the patent but, neither in the United Kingdom, nor in Europe nor in the USA have they allowed him to register the patent in the name of AI.
At first, there is no global standard for patent registration, some manage it as industrial property and others as intellectual property, which makes it very difficult to reach a consensus on the subject.
Years ago it would not have occurred to anyone to contemplate the case that a machine could invent something, but nowadays artificial AI advances very quickly and sooner rather than later we will have to face the problem.

The problem is something as simple as whoever discovers or invents something has to be a natural person, not even people constituted as legal persons, that is, they exist but as an institution created by one or more natural persons, have this right.
At the moment, the concept of "electronic person" is being debated, which could be used at any given time to correct the problem, in order to apply that type of legal personality to artificial intelligence.
In the short term we will have the problem with autonomous vehicles that, when they reach the full autonomous driving phase, will have to make decisions that affect human lives and in some way the car will have to be blamed.

In the same way, once it is possible to endow the machines with "personality", it will also be possible to apply taxes to them that the machine in question should satisfy by saving a small part of the wealth that it generates.
Presumably, this type of conflict will arise, as machines become more prominent in our daily lives and we will be here to tell you about it.
