The Amazing wolf pack

The grey wolf is also known as the timber wolf or western wolf is found in areas of North America and Eurasia. Being one of the world renown and researched animals this iconic animal has know to be an endangered species of the beautiful canine family.

Wolves are carnivores and rather eat hoofed mammals and also smaller mammals. It said that an adult wolf can eat up to 20 pounds of a single meal. The typical lifespan of these magnificent creatures range between 8-13 years sometimes even more.  The Males range between 43-45kg and the females could range between 79-85kg. Wolves live in packs; most of these packs are between 4-9 members sometimes more up to 30 until they break off into their own packs. The alpha male and female run the pack and the pack consists of males and females.

When the wolf reaches the age of three they can join the pack or make their own pack. Wolves are usually pregnant for about 63 days after breeding season through January- March and the litter ranges 4-6 pups. These pups are born in dens and cannot see, hear and weigh less than a pound.
