Transportation Technique is the application of science and mathematics in which the properties of substances and natural energy sources are used to transport passengers and goods in a way that is useful to humans. Current transportation techniques can be classified as a single particular field with certain methods and approaches.

Transportation techniques combine many disciplines that have different characteristics and approaches, although the whole is merged into one with the use of scientific methods and certain basic rules. Engineers engaged in different activities may classify themselves as transportation engineers, pavement engineers, airports and bridges feel responsible for the designs intended for the transport, as well as engineers designing the canals, railroads, seaports , vehicle engines, locomotives and passenger trains.
