Yesterday we saw the human race move one step further

in #science7 years ago (edited)

Every once in a while something really important happens in respect to the progression of the human race, learning how to make fire, learning how to produce harness electricity, learning how to fly and take to the skies, going into space, landing on the moon.

Its incredible how far as a species humans have come. In the last decade space exploration seems to have taken a back seat - but yesterday we saw something truly incredible - SpaceX’s Falcon Heavy Demonstration Mission - and 2 of its three boosters LANDING upright.

This means so much, reusable boosters means cheaper costs, and that means more viability to carrying on building in outerspace

Now some argue that the money Elon Musk is wasting money, and some say that he should spend the money feeding orphans. And whilst that is indeed a noble cause - the fact is the human race must go forward and one day we MUST colonise other planets, not just for fun..But for our survival.

People like Elon Musk with the vision, passion and financial means to invent, explore and develop new technologies is exactly what the human species need to keep us moving forward. This is something we have always done and always must do.

I am truly delighted to see this happen.
