I don't have a lot of knowledge about the whole scientific publishing market so, reading the whitepaper was really interesting.

In particular learning about the inefficiencies of the payment structure where the Government is, in essence, paying 3 times for research projects.

What else really struck me was that science journals can take up to 12 months to publish new research papers, essentially creating this huge information gap and slowing down science.

Orvium is building a whole framework to counter these and many more problems that are specific to this niche. Their idea definitely makes sense.
