They Can Now Engineer the Human
I am always fascinated about what technology can do in the future, knowing that we have already have a glimpse of what future will be based of the discoveries that we have today. Some of it is the use of CRISPR editing tool that can manipulate DNA by cutting a part of it and install a new one. It has a potential to cure cancer and also a potential to design a baby which already done in the US a year ago.
What is CRISPR?
CRISPR which means Clustered Regularly Interspaced Short Palindromic Repeats
In simple words it means removing, adding or altering sections of DNA.
Though this type of discovery and practice is so controversial due of the issue of morality. If it is done perfectly the normal growth and appearance of humans can be altered. So in the future if this kind of practice around the world happened and perfectly done there will be no baby with complications because CRISPR can possibility correct defective genes. As of now this type of genome editing is not yet fully perfect because of the CRISPR errors called mosaicism.
This type of technology if perfected could be a normal practice on embryos maybe after 20 to 50 years though it is just my opinion. It maybe unacceptable to many people because of their religious beliefs but still it will happen in some country I think.

i think this is ridiculous, though others may find it usefull
When I read the first lines about it, like you, I was thinking about religion. I mean, some people may be born with a complication but indeed soar high in their chosen field in life. I mean complications were never a hindrance for someone to live a happy life if they chose to be because happiness will always be a choice.
