Free Energy in Future : Perpetual Motion Machine - Possible???

The world is a huge ball full of uncertainties. New things tend to happen every now and then. We sleep with a thing, next day we wake up; BOOM - We get to see another new thing. Though we  have advanced through our science, loads and loads of discoveries are yet to be done.

Nowadays, a thing that we all crave for the most is ENERGY.

Just imagine, what happens if we create a machine that can create energy ?

What if we have giant turbines everywhere that turn without wind, water or any external source of energy ??

What if we don't require fossil fuels anymore?? No destruction of earth's environment.. No problem of climate change.

Just imagine the world of FREE ENERGY.

In today's session,we shall talk about one such thing : PERPETUAL MOTION MACHINE.

What is PERPETUAL MOTION MACHINE ?

Perpetual simply means 'never ending or changing'. With that reference, perpetual motion machine is a device which is supposed to move perpetually or without any energy i.e. it never stops.

"so if we created it today and set it going, it will last forever".

Does our history supports it ?

As of now, we can find many designs in the internet that claimed to work as a perpetual motion machine.

First documented work was by Indian author named Bhaskara in 12th century (1159 C.E). It was based on the principle of unbalanced mercury wheel.

In about 1230, a Frenchman, Villard de Honnecourt designed a perpetual motion wheel that is overbalanced wheel with hinged hammers (uneven no. i.e. 7) equally spaced around its rim.

In 1500s, Mark Anthony Zimara came up with Zimara's self blowing wind mill which was based on "bootstrap" principle of perpetual motion.

Similarly, Other models include-

POSSIBILITY???

Under consideration to current state of our knowledge and physical laws, perpetual motion machines are just hypothetical and is impossible. The principles of thermodynamics are greatly established both theoretically and experimentally. According to 1st law of thermodynamics, the energy can neither be created nor be destroyed instead it changes from one form to another. So energy applied to keep the machine moving should stay with machines without any losses, which is impossible.

But recent scientific breakthroughs in this technology especially when magnets are used as the primary material, suggest that future may be golden for Perpetual motion machine.

We never know what happens in science and one should never say 'never' in science As by far the most persistent dream of inventors has been to get something out of nothing i.e. to create machine that will start on its own, overcome its friction and still have some power left to do useful work - in short - PERPETUAL MOTION MACHINE.
