Sometimes I wonder when last we did listen to the best of Michael Jackson, Lionel Richie, Celine Dione, Tupac Shakur, Notorious BIG, and a host of other big names in entertainment.

How well were you reminded of what good music feels like?

Well; those happy days of good music is here again. The beautiful part of it all is being called to partake in discovering the needed talents that can give us those qualities that we miss and promoting them into stardom to keep the tempo of good music going. You’re not only getting involved; your inputs will duly be rewarded financially.

HOW?

Inmusik

Inmusik have noticed that the role most music labels play in discovering and nurturing new talents into limelight has not really been successful. They attributed such shortcoming to the non-active participation of the real people who do the listening and buying of those songs.

In that case, Inmusik is extending the needed olive leaf to the music lovers to take part in the discovery and nurturing of talents into stardom. They promise to make the exercise fun without eating much into participant’s time. On the whole; 10 mins of your active participation will be robust in this process. So let’s let you into this world of Inmusik.

INMUSIK

Inmusik is a blockchain and cryptocurrency based platform that has been adapted in the song streaming, social interaction, cryptocurrency based rewards and streamlined financial framework for the music industry. It was designed to pay content creators and listeners in equal measure based on the value they contribute to the community.

The social interaction part of the platform has been partly dedicated towards community curation, verification and transparent payouts to content owners and the contributing listeners apiece. This covers partly, the activities on which this topic was based. So let’s elaborate more.

GETTING INVOLVED

Get involved

The process works like most media platforms like the steemit, Facebook, etc. where you need to register, get your log in credentials to get involved. The artists were also meant to follow that same procedure to get on the platform, but with the respective profile meant for artistes.

On signing up as a listener; you’ll be allotted with some Inmusik token called the sound token. The token will be used in up-voting good songs on the platform and doing otherwise for the awkward songs. Gifted coins will be burnt daily if not utilized.

THE PROCESS

Periodically, about 7 seconds play adapted from the most pleasing parts of a song as adjudged by the artist, will be presented to the registered listeners for their listening pleasures and complementary voting. This art is called “Quick-play discovery” and requires listener’s support for to project a good song they believe can make it to the top. Such songs will be promoted on the inmusik; generating inflows from streams and listeners reactions as they make it to the top.

For a song that doesn’t impress, listeners are expected to down-vote them and avoid allocation of scarce resources in promoting them.

Seven different new songs will be played in a row for your listening and complementary reactions on the quick play, before one can move to another seven new songs. All songs collected will be added to the listener’s playlist where they can be listened to in full.
As an added incentive, the listener will be rewarded with Inmusik cash tokens (pegged at one Inmusik cash to a dollar) for taking part in the exercise.

Furthermore, the data generated by your up-votes will be harnessed in helping a great new content to be projected, promoted and be heard on inmusik; generating more listener’s reactions and earnings which in turn, increases that of the listeners who up-voted them at the Quickplay stage.

CAUTION

Caution

The system is very much aware of budding artistes who may go the wrong way in copying other people’s work to the inmusik. The peer to peer blockchain network on which Inmusik operates has also empowered the active listeners to raise a flag on such works and get more financial rewards in that regard. This has been seen as a better way of preserving the budding reputation of the platform that engaging in copyrights litigation.
