The solar system and the great discoveries of NASA

Over the years, NASA has launched a series of space missions with the ambition to discover the mysteries of the Solar System, where Earth belongs.

While Cassini was on fire on Saturn, other NASA ships hovered in space and recorded images of different planets. One of NASA's most ambitious projects, New Horizons, aims to discover Pluto, one of the deepest in the solar system. In the photo, the New Horizons recorded the image of Pluto in July.

Images from the infrared camera show the existence of rock water on Pluto. New Horizons records this image from a distance of 108,000 km.

Another image from the New Horizons shows Pluto's surface with mountain ranges.

NASA's Juno boat captures stunning images of Jupiter. This image was taken by NASA to compare the size of Earth and Jupiter.

Close-up of giant red dots on Jupiter, is actually a storm. This image was recorded by Juno in July.

Juno's goal is to explore the formation and development of Jupiter, the observation of aurora, the measurement of water and gas on the planet.

Meanwhile, on Mars, two Curiosity and Opportunity vehicles day and night explore the red planet and send images of the Earth. Opportunity landed in Mars 2004 and "survived" beyond the original 90-day plan. Curiosity celebrates 5 years of mission accomplished in August. Both of these machines find evidence that life exists on Mars. In the photo, a fragment of Curiosity falls on the surface of Mar.

At night in Mars, the Earth is one of the brightest stars in the sky. If you stand on the red planet, people can see the Earth and the Moon clearly.
