ASTEROID OF 5KM IN DIAMETER PASS NEAR FROM THE EARTH..,😱😱

in #science6 years ago

Hi friends.!
A huge asteriod called 3200 phaethon which which measures 3 milies (5km) in diameters will pass from near the earth from on December 16, 2017.
The next pass is predicted in 2093 when it is expected to pass at just over 2.8 million milies (2.9 million kilometers) away.

It is called potential hazardous. The asteriods is half the size of Chicxulub, the rock that wiped out the dinosarus. It unusually orbit will see it pass closer to the sun than any other named asteriod.

With a diameter of about 5km phaethon is the third largest near-Earth asteroid classified as potentially hazard said a spokesperson from NASA.

The NASA Spokes person further said that: phaethon will approach with in 0.069 au of earth on 2017 December 16 when it will be a stronger reader imaging target at goldstine and Arecibo

This will be the best opportunity to date for rader observation for this asteriod and we hope to obtain detailed images. The images should be excellent for obtaining a detailed 3D model.
3200 phaethon has features of both an asteroid and a come. This characteristic feature has amused the scientists.

The asteriod are normally found in the asteriod belt between mas and Jupiter. By this logic, the origin of phaethons orbit is expected to be in the region between mars and Jupiter
