(NGC 2024) The Flame Nebula

Flame Nebula (NGC 2024) view in infrared. This precious gas cloud is located in the vicinity of the star Alnitak in the Orion Belt. Keep in mind that we are observing it in infrared, so that all those spectacular flames would not be visible by the human eye. The digital coloring is mainly done for research purposes.
