Kuya J's Diary Episode 4 - Super Blue Blood Moon
"Super Blue Blood Moon"
"Super Moon" occurs when the moon falls on the perigee or the closest distance between Earth and the moon, appearing to be larger than normal.
“Blue moon” is the second full moon in a month. It is rare to have two full moons in a month hence the saying 'once in a blue moon'.
And we can really say that the phenomenon that will take place tonight will be once in a blue moon because Total Lunar Eclipse will also be happening tonight where the moon will appear reddish thus referring to it as the “Blood Moon”.
In the Philippines, we will be able to witness this three astonishing and beautiful phenomenon taking place tonight starting from 7:48 pm to 11:11 pm.
7:48 pm | 8:51 pm | 9:29 pm | 10:07 pm | 11:11 pm |
---|---|---|---|---|
Partial Eclipse Begins | Total Eclipse Begins | Maximum Eclipse | Total Eclipse Ends | Partial Eclipse Ends |

A very well-written and detailed post!
I use the term "once in a blue moon" so often, but I did not know what exactly it meant - now I know. This post is a treasure trove of knowledge about the eclipse. I am sure that there will be some enterprising photographers on Steemit who will capture this phenomenon!
they're already in the net. :)
sadly though i was not able to see it. :(

I am in the UAE, unfortunately I only have a smartphone, but at 6.30pm you could see blue colours coming off the moon. It looked like a lunar eclipse.
have you witness the total lunar eclipse last night?
It think it was a partial eclipse. There was cloud, which ironically is rare in the UAE
is the sky always clear in UAE?
Most of the time. Sometimes fog in the night. Some cloud in winter. But mostly it is clear.
awesome
