EMDRIVE - Second alternative hypothesis of its operation

in #science7 years ago (edited)

Roger Shawyer, inventor of the EMDRIVE has recently asked for this document to be widely circulated discussing his technology.

I discovered this document on the excellent ECW website where some learned people are dismissing Shawyer's own explanation for how it works.

Here is a few examples of John Hutchinson's (JH) videos purporting to show anti gravity and propulsion effects

Kenneth Shoulders (KS) explains the above affects by way of what he discovered and called 'charge clusters' (CC). He says that charge clusters can negate mass and inertia, two aspects of physical matter's interaction with the aether. He also says that they can be 'stored' in metals without explaining how. By negating mass, gravity looses its effect on the matter so influenced.

According to KS, CCs form stable quanta that themselves act as electrons. One could imagine then that, if a metal is conductive, these CCs could employ the conduction band of conductors to enter into a metals electron shell. In the case of transition metals, given the right circumstances, there may be the opportunity to enter deep into the atoms electron structure. Having said that, they may have more action on their surroundings if they hang about in the sea of conduction electrons.

JH employed a static field (tesla coil or van-der-graff generator) and a Radio or Microwave frequency photon generator to levitate or displace metals (amongst other materials). It is claimed that in one case he levitated 750kg with just 4kW. You can also see translation in the above video.

I propose that if a suitable environment is being created within the body of the EmDrive, charge clusters will form and be taken into the copper body, which is a good choice, as taking on board charge clusters would promote chemical reactions, such as oxidation, that would degrade the drive if other less noble materials were used. The use of superconductors may aid the formation of charge clusters. I then speculate that the form of the EmDrive chamber, in combination with the MW provide an electrostatic potential differential in the chamber and this will accelerate the CCs, having a larger base at the bottom than top may help produce a differential in net movement in one direction.

The CCs will negate the mass and inertia of the copper body and therefore, the affected copper will act as if it is only a group of electrons exposed to an accelerating electric field and thus can be rapidly accelerated accordingly. Careful isolation of conducting parts may be necessary if a powerful drive is to be used in a reactive environment, this would be little problem in a space setting.
