Today you all will know the reason why the eggs we buy from market will not become chicken even after an eternity!!

first of all... how eggs are produced by a Hen??

In mammals like us, A female can give birth to a child after Mating with the Male. In the absence of Sperm from male, the ova produced by female can not survive alone and are expelled out of female body in the form of Menstraution!
But this not the same case with the birds! birds can lay eggs even without mating with a male,but these type of eggs will never become chicken.these are called Unfertilized eggs!

so what are fertilized and unfertilized eggs??

Eggs produced when a male chicken mates with a female one are called fertilized eggs. approximately after 21 days of closed life in a shell chicken will come out of the fertilized eggs.
but when a female chicken is placed out of reach from male ones, she will lay unfertilized eggs which will never become chicken!this is the case with most of the commercial eggs we consume!!
the poultry farm will separate male and female Hens.. when females reach 19 weeks of age they start laying eggs.

The advantage of the unfertilized egg is that the will remain viable upto 7 months !!! [1]
