Even if people did think the Earth was disk shaped, that'd still be wrong.
The Earth isn't spinning fast enough to make that shape. Some things, like galaxies or an accretion disk can be disk shaped, but only because they're spinning fast, and their internal gravity isn't enough to pull it together.
When pulled firmly together with its own gravity, it will form a sphere, not a disk.
If it was spinning faster, the centrifugal force will widen it more and more, until it does become a disk.

These people who say the Earth is flat get ad revenue with this kind of click bait. Maybe we need to see the idiot archetype that we are used to from watching television. So we click on them and they seem like regular people who seem sincere as professional actors. They assert that we shouldn't be able to see city buildings across a lake in a round Earth, then they show we can see them. If you waste your time and do the math, you see the buildings should be visible on a round Earth.
They put money into taking boats and using lasers but when it is time to apply the Pythagorean theorem they instead assrert a formula which is consistent with a parabolic surface rather than a sphere. No pennies to Math grads, but a $500 laser, they buy it.
I laughed my ass off because of these videos on YouTube and started saying offline the Earth was a cube weeks ago. Thus, coincidentally I came up with this same sarcasm. as you.
