I have eaten plenty of Shaggy Mane mushrooms. They are pretty distinctive, in my view. And they are a tasty mushroom. Cooking stops their auto-digestion. I've been surprised at the many places I've found Shaggy Manes - seeing them come up through pavement, similar to one of your pictures, is amazing to really see in person. I don't eat them from that sort of environment, but I can still admire them! Great mushrooms!
