The Saturnian age

in #science7 years ago

All of the old religions were astral in nature. That brings up an unusual question... If a bunch of primitive people today were to attempt to create an astral religion from scratch, they would invariably end up worshiping the sun and the moon. Nonetheless, the two chieftain gods of all of the old astral religions were Jupiter and Saturn, that is, the two former dwarf stars, and not the sun and moon.

What exactly is the reason for that? Vestiges of some ancient cosmic reality which was substantially different from what we observe today, are still all around us. We still call our Sabbath 'Saturn's day'; the most major Roman religious Festival was called Saturnalia... Plato consistently refers to Antediluvians as nursling's or children of Kronos/Saturn and Ovid and Hesiod both claim that there had been a Golden age during which Kronos/Saturn was the King of heaven, followed by the great flood and then a brief silver age during which Zeus/Jupiter was the King of heaven, followed by the age of the Trojan war and then our own "iron" age.

In the same language, our sun is the "king of heaven" now. What the ancient sources are actually describing is an age during which this planet was associated with a Brown dwarf star which we now call Saturn, and not with our present sun.
