This could be a fake but it is a hell of a good one if it is. The eyes appear to be too far apart for the thing to be human. Watch the way the "child" walks and moves; Danny Vendramini has said that a Neanderthals gait would appear quite strange to humans. Assuming for a moment that this thing was not fake, it would almost certainly not be a Neanderthal but, in my view, all of the more advanced hominids were more or less related.
The fact that they use the term 'domovoy' for the thing indicates that they have no theory as to what it is. That would be a very old Russian word for a household guardian spirit.
I would at least entertain the possibility that this thing is real and corresponds to the kind of thinking which Lloyd Pye used to engage in, that is, that there still were small bands of hominids living in the 65% of the land surface of the planet which is generally seen only from the air.
