I am an agriculturist and the moment I saw this topic about farm failure I had a strong interest to read through it.
When your rice farm is attacked by pest, some pesticides you can use to treat the attack includes
- Lambda-cyhalothrin
- Malathion
- Zeta-cypermethrin
You can check for any farm management close to your location to purchase these pesticides which will be very helpful to you.
When you want to purchase the pesticide you can ask for "Danitol", this is like the local name and you are to apply 500 ml per acre.

I will try the recipe (poison drug) that you mentioned it,
before, our society was just coping with the traditional way, they were wearing leaves that could block the pest, but, when it was no longer valid.
