Science Fair project in a HURRY!
My 6 year old son started with a Science fair this year. He is in Grade 2 and the teacher told them they could do any experiment or anything related to science, the problem was, it was for THE NEXT DAY!
I have already forgotten about all the nice things that one can do for science projects as it is not something I work with everyday. I was not really sure if it was true that it had to be for the next day, but he had to think of something, and FAST too. I had to explain to him what I think we have to do, because he did not come with any communication from the school. We went to Google to look for a few ideas and he really started getting excited. He was so eager to compete in the Science Fair and at first he like the idea that you can use lemons to power up a light bulb.
I had to keep in mind that it should be something on the level of a 6year old, so I could not get carried away with things he would not be able to explain to the teacher. At the end, he decided that he wanted to make a rocket instead, so we started with some baking soda, vinegar and proceeded to experiment.
Small things really do amuse small minds, and he had a ball. My wife wasn't too happy about us experimenting all over the house, but after we cleaned everything up again, she helped him make a poster containing all the steps he followed.

when life gives you lemons you make a..... science experiment:)
