As the most geologically active body in the solar system massive geological changes can be observed on Io over a relatively short period.

In less than a decade the already massive feature near the south pole grew and darkened significantly.

I noticed the lo surface changes from 1999-2007. It’s obvious.

What causes this? It dosent look like a very atmospheric planet so I'm guessing not wind haha
