What is called color?

Color is one element that can not stand alone. The appearance of a color is always influenced and determined by other colors around it. Color is also the first physical appearance that reaches our eyes that distinguishes something from the others. Whether it's a dead object or a living thing.

Colors can be seen because there is interaction or because there is interplay between the colors themselves. Blue color with the same level of lighting will look different appearance when placed on a different background or closer to a different color.

So the colors we often see in the form of rainbow of the sky. In other terms, the Rainbow is an optical and meteorological phenomenon of a parallel, parallel-colored light visible in the sky or any other medium. In the sky, the rainbow appears as a light bow with its tip leading to the horizon at a time of light rain. Rainbows can also be seen around the swift waterfall.

Then why did the Rainbow happen and why did it color?

Of all the colors emitted by the Sun, the colors of the rainbow are the colors that can be captured by the human eye. When the light with the colors of the rainbow are mixed together, then what is captured by the human eye is the impression of a "white" color. When the color "white" is about a green object for example, then all other colors absorbed by the object while the green color reflected, so our eyes catch the green color on the object.

Basically the Rainbow occurs when the white light of the Sun is refracted by the grains of water in the air. Different colors of light are refracting or bending in different directions, so that each color becomes visible separately. As a result we see a colorful rainbow.

Then what about Color Black & White?

If a scientist asks you, you'll get a physical answer: "Black is not a color, white is color." Ask an artist like me, Then you will get another answer: "Black is color, while white is not". Sure, Because we did not find any white color there except the color of the paper.

Then whether both are not colors?

After understanding and repeating the above writing about the understanding of color, I can say that Black is not a color, because black is a representation of the absence of all the spectrum of light in nature. Black gives a diverse impression in the human mind, depending on the situation and mood of the person who sees it. At a time black creates a frightening impression, mystery and darkness. At other times black had a very different impression.

The theory that black is a color is a subtractive color theory. This theory departs from the division of color. The primary colors consist of yellow, blue, and red. So if you combine all the primary colors, then you can get black.

What about white, is it considered not a color anyway?

Some people say that white is also considered not a color so black and white TV is not considered a color TV. But you can see again more clearly illustration above picture.

But from the glasses of science, white is the color, because it is a representation of the all-light spectrum of light that can be perceived by the senses of human vision, as opposed to black.

So, from some tiori that has been presented and proved that Black is not a color. Black objects absorb all colors of the visible spectrum and do not reflect any color spectrum to the eye. While White is the color. White reflects all the colors of the visible spectrum of light by the eye.

Empirically, bright colors are preferred by children because they are much more attractive than black and white. Over time, some people bring their childhood habits to grow up and marry.
