This robot can interact with people, answer questions, take photos, fell the feelings of humans... And the most impressive is that he can follow you with his eyes. I Had already discuss with a robot pepper and this is disturbing with he follows you with his eyes...

Can we call this technologie an artificial intelligence?
It's a tricky point, because the robot seems intelligent but his reactions are programmed in advance. So, it's difficult to consider it's an artificial intelligence. Furthermore, we can think that recognition of feelings prove that is an artificial intelligence, but this is "just" an exploit in image analysis. Everything is programmed in advance.
Thus, pepper the robot seems intelligent, but it's not a real artificial intelligence to the extent that his decisions are taken by his creators.

But it exists some artificial intelligences! Researchers are developing neural networks and this represents the beginning of the real artificial intelligence. When this technologie will be implement in robots, they will be able to take their own decisions and to interact with their environnement without programmation. On the other hand, we shall wait to see this technologie in our daily lives because researchers are still at the beginning.
Furthermore, the legislation will also have to adapt and this could take time. Especially if we consider the quote from Stephen Hawking : " The artificial intelligence could end the humanity "
