Solar drying system is methods that has been utilized by many farmers and have been researched by the researcher in the university or independent research center; the simple method and easy handle is become a great option in applying this method widely to the farmers, this technology is doesn’t required any sophisticated tool or material in the flow of process. This is why draining technology is widely applied across the user need.

Last week I went to A central production of salt, I met the farmer and conducting an interview with them about the new technique that they applied for production process, this technique is new for them. Solar drying tunnel system is combination method that applied using solar collector and the tunnel, it has a good performance result in producing the salt. Actually solar collector is not new technique this method have been applied for many others farming product in preserving food such as fruits, meat, and fish to stop of bacteria rate process. But regarding processing the salt it is different because the tunnel is use to escalate sun light radiation and to enhanced the function of solar collector that’s applied as salt water pound.

The production process is dividing into 4 steps; the initial process is reservoir the salt water into the collector pound or solar collector. This pound is made by the black color thick plastic, this is due to black color is a good material in absorbing the heat from the sun light radiation. In initial step the water that impound is use to remove the residue that come with the water while irrigate from the river. The second step process the water is move to the first filter intake with the tunnel system to escalate the concentration and to ensure no more residues inside. In this stage of process the salinity concentration of water is escalate to 18% of salinity.

The next step of process is irrigate the water from the first filter pound to the next salt water pound with the tunnel system, the heat radiation from the tunnel and the solar collector help the escalation of concentration in this pound the salt water is look crystallized because the concentration is about 20 %. After two days in the third pound the salt water is move to the final pound to accelerate the rate of salt crystallization process until the water is evaporate and remain only the salt. Collectors can raise the temperature to the maximum level to accelerate the crystallized phase of the salt process.

The basic principal of solar tunnel drying technique is referring to the principle of draining^[1]. This technique is basically utilized to remove or eliminate the water by using heat energy. The air flow that passed the tunnel is used to accelerate the crystallized process of salt.

Conclusion
The Advantage of Solar tunnel drying technique is a new method that applied to obtain clean and hygienic of salt product, this product claim more efficient in utilizing the energy, this is due to the method is not required any fuel or wood in process the salt, this method only need the heat radiation from the sun light. The Disadvantage of Solar tunnel drying process is dependently on the weather, if in the rain season the production of salt is obviously will decrease.

Sistem pengeringan surya adalah metode yang telah digunakan oleh banyak petani dan telah diteliti oleh peneliti di universitas atau pusat penelitian independen; metode sederhana dan penanganan yang mudah menjadi pilihan yang bagus dalam menerapkan metode ini secara luas kepada para petani, teknologi ini tidak memerlukan alat atau material canggih apa pun dalam alur proses. Inilah sebabnya mengapa teknologi pengeringan diterapkan secara luas di seluruh kebutuhan pengguna.

Minggu lalu saya pergi ke pusat produksi garam, saya bertemu petani dan melakukan wawancara dengan mereka tentang teknik baru yang mereka terapkan untuk proses produksi, teknik ini baru bagi mereka. Sistem terowongan pengeringan matahari adalah metode kombinasi yang diterapkan menggunakan kolektor surya dan terowongan, memiliki hasil kinerja yang baik dalam menghasilkan garam. Sebenarnya kolektor surya bukanlah teknik baru. metode ini telah diterapkan untuk banyak produk pertanian lain dalam mengawetkan makanan seperti buah-buahan, daging, dan ikan untuk menghentikan laju bakteri. Tetapi mengenai pemrosesan garam itu berbeda karena terowongan digunakan untuk meningkatkan radiasi cahaya matahari dan untuk meningkatkan fungsi kolektor surya yang digunakan sebagai penampung air garam.

Proses produksi dibagi menjadi 4 langkah; proses awal adalah menampung air garam ke dalam kolam kolektor atau kolektor surya. kolam ini dibuat dengan plastik tebal warna hitam, hal ini disebabkan warna hitam merupakan material yang baik dalam menyerap panas dari radiasi sinar matahari. Pada langkah awal air yang digunakan adalah untuk menghilangkan residu yang datang bersama air sambil dialirkan dari sungai. Langkah kedua, proses air dipindahkan ke intake filter pertama dengan sistem terowongan untuk meningkatkan konsentrasi dan untuk memastikan tidak ada residu lagi di dalamnya. Pada tahap proses ini konsentrasi salinitas air meningkat hingga 18% dari salinitas.

Langkah selanjutnya dari proses adalah mengairi air dari pon filter pertama ke pound air garam berikutnya dengan sistem terowongan, radiasi panas dari terowongan dan kolektor surya membantu eskalasi konsentrasi dalam pon ini air garam terlihat mengkristal karena Konsentrasi sekitar 20%. Setelah dua hari dalam pon ketiga, air asin dipindahkan ke pon terakhir untuk mempercepat laju proses kristalisasi garam sampai air menguap dan hanya tersisa garam. Kolektor dapat menaikkan suhu ke tingkat maksimum untuk mempercepat fase crystalized dari proses garam.

Prinsip dasar teknik pengeringan terowongan surya mengacu pada prinsip pengeringan [1]. Teknik ini pada dasarnya digunakan untuk menghilangkan air dengan menggunakan energi panas. Aliran udara yang melewati terowongan digunakan untuk mempercepat proses garam yang dikristalisasi.

Kesimpulan
Keuntungan teknik pengeringan terowongan matahari adalah metode baru yang diterapkan untuk memperoleh produk garam yang bersih dan higienis, klaim produk ini lebih efisien dalam memanfaatkan energi, hal ini dikarenakan metode ini tidak diperlukan bahan bakar atau kayu apa pun dalam proses pembuatan garam, metode ini hanya membutuhkan radiasi panas dari sinar matahari. Kekurangan proses pengeringan terowongan surya bergantung pada cuaca, jika di musim hujan produksi garam jelas akan menurun.
