The roller was assembled from individual images, which were made using a scientific instrument EPIC DSCOVR satellite.
This unit is in the last year photographing the Earth every hour, as noted in the description of the video, posted on the official You-Tube channel NASA
It is known that the device was designed specifically for tracking space weather (solar wind and coronal mass ejections). The satellite is located at Lagrange point L1 Earth - Moon system.
