Bill Gates Supports Live Streaming Round Earth Monitor
EarthNow's efforts in providing live streaming to monitor the Earth are supported by a number of parties. In fact, the company was founded in 2017 ago.
EarthNow is eager to stream high definition or HD quality live streaming live on this round Earth for 24 hours. This monitoring is to track fishing activities illegally, weather, and more.
"Our goal is simple, we want to connect you visually with Earth that is done in real-time," EarthNow founder Russel Hannigan told the Metro on Saturday (21/4/2018).
This will be done when EarthNow successfully launches a series of satellites weighing about 500 pounds or 225 kilograms each. Although the company has not disclosed the value of its investment, it is estimated that EarthNow will spend up to USD 1 billion for this project.
The company, based in Bellevue, Washington, USA hopes its services will be of interest to the enterprise and government markets.
"We believe the ability to see and understand Earth alive and unfiltered will help us all to better appreciate and ultimately care for our one and only home," Hannigan said.
Although not yet known when the launch and Earth live streaming service can be done, but a number of famous names already support it. Call it Microsoft founder Bill Gates, CEO of SoftBank Masayoshi Son and Airbus aerospace company.
"We are excited to give all those beautiful real-time windows about your world from outer space.With EarthNow, we will all become virtual astronauts," concluded Hannigan.
