The mandela effect is a circumstance or phenomenon whereby a person or people have different recollection of an event or point in time. To some, it is also called the false memory.
Named the Mandela effect, after the famous South African ex president Nelson Mandela, who some people once believed died in the 1980's as believed to the date known by majority of the population.

The theories of it's existence

Have you ever been in a situation where by the history those around you know and the history you know vary? Well if that is true, then you are experiencing the Mandela effect. Not to be confused with dejavu, which is having a feeling of having already experienced a current experience in the exact same manner.

So many people have come out with various proof of the Mandela effect existing and with various reasons/conspiracies as to why it even happens in the first place, some of which sounding absurd while others looking plausible.
Here is a list of possibilities as to why the Mandela effect might be happening in the first place:

Of course, I initially said I will start from the most ridiculous of all reasons, but as a Dan Brown fan myself, I prefer to keep an open mind...lol

The Illuminati started as far back as the 1770's but were known as the Bavarian sect with a different view on science, religion and several other things. Let's be clear, they are real or at least, they once were and of course, as with every other thing that goes wrong with science, they somehow find their way into the mix.

It is believed that with their known connection to science and probably the occult, they have somehow been dabbling with the universe...lol, in a bid to mess with reality as we know it, in a bid to change things to suit their agenda of world domination.

But I believe that everyone is innocent until proven otherwise and this is still considered as a hoax and the weakest consideration of all the theories.

Time travel

For years now, there have been rumors of time travelling with purported sightings of time travelers across the globe. It is no hidden fact that numerous project like

• Project pegasus
• Montauk project

These are but a few time travel projects in the United States alone with Russia and other countries actively involved with time travel projects too.
One of such talks backing the time travel phenomenon were documents reportedly gotten from Nikola's possession after his death and we all know that Nikola is a known name when it comes to the world of time travel.

One known name Basiago Andrew, who claims to have teleported to the past on some many occasions and so much so that he went to Lincoln's Gettysburg address and so many other occasions throughout history.
One thing though, he claimed to have reported future occurrences to intelligence networks and presidents.

If that is true, this answers an age long question: How does the Us government seem so quick to figure out things before they happen and how come those responsible for a crime are almost instantly known.

Back to the theory, there are so many theories of time travel, one is when you alter a timeline it tries to reconnect so a to prevent the butterfly effect of sorts and as such certain changes will have to go into effect, but then some people just happen to remember history as it was.

The alternate universe theory

There is this scientific theory that we exist in what is called the multiverse. The multiverse (definition for dummies) can be defined as a series of universes which exist in different dimensions. Simply put, you are not the only copy of you out there.

Now, there is a theory that we have been slipping in and out of the multiverses and as such it is believed that some of these remnants from other universes as they are called are sipping into our universes creating certain alterations in our own universe and timelines and theorists believe the experiments at C.E.R.N. play a large role in that.

Furthermore, it is believed that those who exist in a level of higher consciousness,have the ability to retain some of these information and as such, they remember history differently.

Although I believe in the Mandela effect, but the only theory to disprove the Mandela effect is what is called collective false memory.
Simply defined, this happens when one person remembers history wrongly and somehow influences his immediate community with his/her misrepresented version of history.

This might actually hold ground in the sense that we can leave an impression and just like hypnosis, such actions will further strengthen more misrepresentations as time goes on.
But let us try to have an open mind
