The Green New Regret
This is the second in the series produced by the Friends of Science. This time it examines the politics of Climate Alarmists. There is a relationship between the activities of the people pushing the climate agenda and the ones pushing the COVID-19 narrative. Marc Morano recites headlines where climate change is responsible for events happening in one direction but a few months later contradicting the previous statement. Any time soon, we should see horses the size of cats but because so much more feed will be available they will become fat. To paraphrase his statement, I am not sure it's the horses who are becoming fat cats exploiting climate change.
I saw something mentioned in this video that I am very concerned about, as well as a headline I saw today. The headline is that in the US all transactions over $600 will be scrutinized. The other in the video is that Mastercard is working with the UN to have a card that will track your carbon purchases. Once it reaches your allowed limit, it will prevent any further purchases. Interesting.
A card that tracks your carbon purchases...what?? This is something new for me. They have to track down the billionaires and the factories.
You are going to make me sound like a conspiracy theorist. Tracking your carbon purchases is very similar to the Social Credit System in China. What happens if you exceed your carbon purchase limit? Will your children be prevented from going to a good school? Will you be prevented from getting a good job? Will you be put on a list so you or your children will be shamed and consequently be ineligible for a good relationship/marriage?
Canada has imposed a 15% Carbon tax on products. Do billionaires or factories care? They just increase the prices passed onto the consumers. Six years ago, I could buy a loaf of bread for $1.00. Yesterday I was able to buy two loaves for $6.00. The prices that farmers receive are the same. The wages that people receive have not increased. When you add a 15% tax on the fuel the grain shippers pay for, they have to increase their prices. When you charge 15% on the fuel the grain dryers use, they have to pay more. This continues all the way up the chain.
I suppose when bread becomes too expensive to buy, I will have to eat cake!
