The Difficulty In Remembering To Stay Focused
Whatever goal we might want to achieve in our life, the most difficult thing that we will need to accomplish is to remember to stay focused on trying to achieve and work toward seeing that goal fulfilled. With many distractions that surround us today, it's easy to let our mind drift onto other things. It's common for many to get started on a project and then give-up half-way through, only to get motivated to do something different.
And for some people that works best for them, because they will come back to what they were doing later.
But for others, we need to try and stay focused on what we are doing in order to complete the task and see it through to the end. There are a number of different goals that we might want to set for our life, both short-term and long-term. Maybe we want to save more money, lose weight, move out, buy a new car, take a nice vacation, obtain a degree, start a business, and so on. Being able to stay focused with where we direct our time is going to give us the best chance to try and achieve success at seeing our goals realized.
The Mind Will Wander
For some individuals, focusing on a task comes easy. But for others, there are many things that can get in the way. Books, television, Internet, music, there's plenty out there to distract us and keep us occupied. And when we choose not to stay focused, with a direction for our time, then it can be easy to let that time slip away toward something entertaining yet unproductive.
It is said by many professionals and business experts etc, that the best way to achieve success and see your goals through to the end, is to make a goal for your time. Starting small is a great way to build the habit, and those small goals will eventually add up to seeing much bigger ones accomplished in the long-run. Goal setting is easy, it's free, and it doesn't take much time to sit down and brainstorm some small goals that you might want to achieve that might help you to move forward to achieving or accomplishing something bigger.
Stay Focused On Being Focused
Setting goals will help to trigger the desired behavior that you want and by being clear about what direction you want to move in with your time, it will help you to stay focused on actionable moves that you can make. Goals help to guide both time and focus and they offer positive reinforcement and give a feeling of gaining momentum after you start to see them crossed-off one by one. They can help to give focus a direction and it will help to uncover what is truly important to you in your life; by taking the time to consider what you want to achieve.
Improving Your Focus
One study from the University of Wisconsin-Madison suggests that by exercising mindfulness meditation, simple breathing exercises, that it will help to boost and sharpen your focus.
In the study, participants sat quietly and counted their breaths, and that was enough to demonstrate that the practice could offer some benefit as far as improving focus and performance. And that isn't the first study to suggest that some sort of meditation practice might help you to stay on track and remain focused on what's important to you.
Other studies suggest that the practice of doodling might help to improve memory and focus.
Those studies offer evidence that supports the notion that by doodling that people will be better able to stay focused and it'll enable them to be more open to grasping new concepts and might even boost their memory. Doodling is also a great way to get the mind flowing in the way of starting to think about possible goals that you might want to accomplish, and moving in the direction of setting a concrete plan for your time and attention to be directed toward.
From meditation to goal setting and doodling, there are a number of "tips and tricks" out there to utilize if you are tired of not seeing any progress and you want to start seeing something accomplished; having something to show for your time spent. A lack of direction is the easiest way to lose focus and remain aimless. Taking some time to think about what you might want to achieve in your life (even if it seems out-of-reach) is the best way to get started on discovering where your focus and attention should be. From there, after you've set your goals, then you've just got to try and remind yourself to stay focused on achieving them.

Excellent post, thank you so very much for underlining some of the intrinsic powers of meditation, under many of its forms, in there. We use so many different kinds to help out our children grow into a more focussed individual in the schools where I work.
The motivational aspects of it are paramount and find their ends in the establishment of a habit for which, a long time ago, life depended on. What if our life depended on it, would we have a much serious focus toward our survival? I would be tempted to answer with a definite and resounding yes. Maybe our lives depend on it, but most of us don't realize it... Food for thought I guess. ;)
All for one and one for all! Namaste :)
Excellent post dear friend @doitvoluntarily, I will try to try with scribbles to improve concentration and my memory. Congratulations
