Could the sky change in 2022? Look what could happen if these two stars collide.

Can you imagine looking at the sky and see that everything is different? That could be possible very soon.

Larry Molnar is a professor at Calvin College, who predicted that what appeared to be a pulsating star, KIC 9832227, was actually two stars, rapidly orbiting each other in a collision course.

Molnar even dared to predict tha the two stars would collide with each other around the year 2002, creating a super-bright explosion that will briefly exlipse most other stars in the galaxy for a short time.

Molnar argues in an article that the moment these stars collide with each other, they'll die and in doing so, release an enormous amount of light and energy known as a red nova, wich will increase the brightness of the star by ten thousand times!

At that time, it will be visible as part of the Cygnus constellation and the star pattern of the Northern Cross.

If Larry's prediction is correct, his project will demonstrate for the first time that astronomers can capture certain binary stars at the time of death, and that they can trace the final years of a stellar spiral of death to the final point.
