Space Colonization Part 01: General Idea And Why

Space the endless

Have you ever thought of its vastness? Have you ever thought what there might be out there? Have you ever thought that it would be a great idea to set sail in a great adventure, into space? If you did i think you ll love my new series which are going to be made just because i am was wondering about these and many other questions about space. I follow no logic when it comes to space travel, colonization, exploration. Being totally incapable to understand why not and volunteering to set sail at any given opportunity. It is our new and final frontier ladies and gentlemen and we shall conquer it like so many others.

What do we look for?

In case of a new planet i would say we look something like Earth but Mars like worlds are not bad either since they can be terraformed which we will talk about in a future article of the these series. Of course we do look for new materials, new kind of radiations and aliens. How could we not look about aliens. If we are alone it is going to be translated to an awfully big waste of space after all.

Can we today colonize anything?

Well this is not the 60s and 70s you live in the future people. If we really do want to, we can have a fully operational moon colony of 1000 people by 2028 (our year is 2017). And of course to add like 1000 more it wont take an other 10 years, it will be faster cheaper and by far easier.

Why colonizing space?

First of all there are a surprisingly big amount of scientists that say, we are in danger we have to become a two planet species. Of course this is not the only reason, soon our population is going to be rising to levels that we can not feed and can not support. New colonies are going to support our economy. New materials shall create new opportunities and maybe new high tech spacecrafts suites and computer systems. But the most important reason for my at least is not any of these. The most important reason is being in danger for the shake of exploration and adventure, for progress and the future of all the explorers who are to come.
