Simulation Theory: A Nightmarish Educational Program

Our universe, a mechanism huge and strange, you can actually find anything inside our universe, anything a human brain can think of. Or can you? Until now whatever we have thought as a kind (airplanes, submarines, cars, spaceships, satellites etc.) we were able to build, science fiction became science fact nearly to every aspect of thought we have created. Actually i can not name something that we thought and we could not prove to be possible (if you can please write it to the comments below).

What does this mean?

I can not believe that this is just luck as i can not believe that anything is possible to a universe bound by laws, even if these laws are Quantum laws. There has to be some boundaries, either of time or space or quantum boundaries of creation. But the thing is whatever we think of comes true over time. So i was just wondering, if we are to believe that our civilization has some kind of effect over reality which comes from his thought process, could that be an other reason to believe that our universe is a simulation?

I am speculating of a master software accepting the thoughts of the collective human mindset and reshaping the reality based on these thoughts. Some could argue, if that is the case then the software can just return to a previous checkpoint every time someone is thinking about it, being a simulation, in order to cover its existence. Yes it could, but i have pointed to a previous article this wouldn't be the case if the simulation is made by humans in order to rise and educate the human capabilities.It would actually be "happy" when humans were capable of finding out about it since they would be closer to the finish line, the mindset they were supposed to reach during their training. So what if it is true?

If that is true we can rewire our whole society just by thinking what we need to make it better, more efficient, durable to natural or man made disasters, and maybe fair enough to last a few thousands of years. But the truth is we just need to understand that it is a simulation and we are out right? Wrong... We are supposed to be educated by it, and the best outcome is to have us create the best case society with our current semi-civilized abilities and understanding. Technological advancements does not count since the program is going to give what we need in time, since it will think of us being ready to use it. Ye sure but humans have already used nuclear weapons twice and have mined the planet like crazy. Well the program being able to give does not mean we are not capable of discovery ourselves. You could understand the master program as the presence of God in some religions, there is free will and you utilize it every single day but that does not mean if you are not good you wont be rewarded.

I do not really like this idea mostly because there is a God that can interact based on the human choices. If this God is to malfunction we are doomed to live a terrible time on our little planet. And even if we were able to be the best humanity could offer, like all of us, still it would be a straggle against time and it would be totally unfair for us. Some shall argue that if all this is true, the possibility of the program malfunctioning is close to zero. And here things are going to get crazy, what if the programmers of the master simulation program have made it so that it will malfunction at some point or being bad from the beginning.

Why would our future civilization do something like that?

For educational purposes... I would do it, well not from the beginning but at some point i would have the program became what the religions of the world call the Devil. If you are to survive, learn, value life and society as a big human achievement, that is made to push us forward to the next level of evolution you will ultimately face the worst case scenario for you and your people. And you have to overcome any obstacle, to the ultimate purpose, which is us thriving in a universe full of dangers and challenges. We are supposed to be the universe that is trying to understand itself, in a way at least.

What are the future challenges humanity is speculating and since we are thinking about them are we in-danger?

Let me start with an asteroid impact, it would be challenging but we can actually overcome it. We already have a plan, we can utilize it in a matter of hours in its first steps, and a few days/weeks to full-fill it. I will write an article about our asteroid planning in the future. What about a nuclear war or a solar storm that will burn our electronics and the nuclear plants are going to go crazy. Well we do have some planning but it is only to minimize the damage dealt, and our minimizing ability is actually terrible. What about a super volcano creating a nuclear winter around the globe, well we can make it through this one but it wont be nice and 1 to 2 billions of people will die. So should the program utilize any of those any time soon? Except the asteroid which is going to be a mega-project for us but we can make it through all the others are things that the program wouldn't throw to us right now(in my opinion).

Of course as i said we do have free will so we could make the others happen ourselves. Except of course the solar flare scenario. Now comes the most intriguing scenario of all what if we are to enter a mini ice age. Well that would be a challenge that would bring society closer, it would make us rethink our way of living and understand the need we have to control the climate as soon as possible. Climate change might actually be what the program used, starting with the ozone hole, which escalated to global warming which will escalate to volcano eruptions around the world which would create a mini ice age. Wait we made all these, sure we did, but it could all be part of the training program.

In conclusion

I do not know if our universe is a simulation, so i do not know if nature is challenging us or just answering to our man made challenges.What i do know is that our civilization has to overcome many many challenges and the great filter idea(a great challenge that destroys all the unworthy civilizations,so that not too much intelligent life exists in the cosmos except if its worthy enough) is not just one filter, there will be many and the one we are facing right now is taming the climate. So reality check: Unknown.
